Getting Moving

Welcome to June!

The weather has been beautiful, so let’s start moving!  Sometimes it is hard to start an exercise program, so if you are worried, talk to your physician about how to start.

We recommend 150 minutes per week of moderate exercise or 75 minutes per week of vigorous exercise to improve overall cardiovascular health.  So 30 minutes a day, 5 times per week is an easy goal to remember and set.  It doesn’t have to be 30 minutes of constant activity too. You could split it up to 10 minute increments 3 times per day, so take a break from the desk and go for a walk midday!

The best way to start an exercise routine is to make it easy and convenient, and make it something that is enjoyable.  Have fun out there!
